Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson has claimed that his son’s death was linked to foul play. He stated this on a news channel that he had suspicions about how the star could be alive one moment and dead the next’.

'Michael was dead before he left the house. I'm suspecting foul play somewhere’.

This comes after it was revealed that Michael Jackson’s aides took an astonishing 50 minutes to call an ambulance. Their 911 emergency call was not made until frantic attempts to resuscitate him had failed. He is reported to have collapsed shortly after being given a shot of Demerol painkiller.

The first official autopsy has been conducted into the death of the singer. Information was leaked to the press which revealed that the star was barely eating and had dropped to a 'severely emaciated' 8st 1oz. His stomach contained only partially-dissolved pills and his hips, thighs and shoulders were marked with needle wounds, believed to be the legacy of narcotic painkillers being injected three times a day.

There is apparently a second autopsy underway.

In America, stars gathered over the weekend for the BET Awards. The award show is held annually by the Black Entertainment Television to celebrate African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.

This year’s show was extra special as it coincided with the death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. BET re-organized most of the ceremony to commemorate the life of the star. Artists had to change their scheduled performances to sing many of his songs. Michael Jackson’s father and sister, Janet, were present at the awards. Janet said her family had chosen her to go speak and thank BET and the fans for all their support given to them.

Oprah should definitely be in the running for the world’s best boss. To reward her staff for work well done, she has paid more than £500,000 to take them and their families on an all expenses paid 10 day lavish cruise around the Mediterranean. The cruise is said to cost proximately £3,500 per person and will see them  make stops in Italy, Turkey, Greece and Malta.

Thanks boss! Oprah and her staff and their families visit the Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona during a stop off from their luxury cruise

This is not the first time she'll be making sich a gesture. Four years ago she arranged a trip to Hawaii for all her staff and agreed to pick up the bill.

Lucky for some i say!

The long-awaited preliminary hearing between Rihanna and Chris Brown finally took place yesterday. Chris pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna in a car after a Grammy's party in LA.

Attorney Donald Etra and singer Rihanna in court

R&B singer Chris Brown sat with his head in his hands during the hearing in Los Angeles

As a result of his guilty plea, Rihanna did not have to take the stand. He will be formally sentenced later to six months' probation and 180 days of community labour in his home state of Virginia as punishment, his lawyer said.

Brown must also stay ten yards away from Rihanna at showbiz events and parties, and 50 yards from her at all other times.

Chris Brown leaves courthouse after preliminary hearing where Rihanna is to testify at Los Angeles Courthouse in Downtown, LA

Is it just me or do celebrities always seem to get off lightly? He has admitted to attacking, biting and choking her and he doesn’t even get a jail term!
